NetIX added 46 new Points of Presence to its connectivity portfolio
The winner of Capacity's "Best Internet Exchange, 2018" award NetIX, and the global cloud-centric network service provider, Epsilon, have reached a strategic agreement for a partnership. As a result, NetIX added 46 new Points of Presence (PoPs) to its connectivity portfolio.
NetIX and Epsilon networks are integrated into a software-defined network (SDN) layer which allows them to operate as a single end-to-end network.
About a year ago, NetIX started extending its on-net coverage map and currently over 150 PoPs in 65 cities, at 35 countries, on 6 continents, providing the lowest possible RTD for the Ethernet circuits and the shortest AS-path length peering service to 85% of the world's active ASNs.
NetIX members are connected to the leading cloud, content delivery network (CDN) platforms and 30+ internet exchange points (IXPs) in Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Africa, and Australia.
Dean Belev, VP Services of NetIX, commented: “The expansion of our global network and the positive feedback we receive from our customers make us confident to continue investing in new and unique services, providing a perfect platform for doing business with our members, deliver superior quality of our services at a good price worldwide.”
NetIX's next-generation network accelerates the Internet and connects content creators with users faster, cheaper and more directly than ever. NetIX offers the best possible Internet connectivity: our members can exchange traffic with more than 4000 direct peers, which gives their end-users the benefit of measurably faster page-load times on 90% of the most popular sites. The company currently serves more than 100 members, including Internet service providers, broadcasters, telecoms operators, and content delivery networks. The network reaches 150 data centers in key cities globally and delivers more than 500 Gbps of traffic. For more information, visit netix.net.
