NetIX is upgrading its biggest European nodes to 100 Gigabits.
The deployment of 100 Gigabit ports is part of the company’s long-term progress plan, aiming to respond to users’ demand for higher bandwidth connectivity for Internet Exchange. NetIX also aims to maintain its ranking as one of the best Internet Exchange platforms.
Currently, 100-Gigabit ports are available in Frankfurt, Bucharest and Sofia, with more cities to join the network shortly.
The availability of 100 Gigabit Ethernet ports will enable customers using NetIX to utilize the full scope of provided services, all in one place.
“The upgrading to 100 Gigabits of the network in NetIX is part of the overall plan for development of the company – new points of presence, new services, new content and members. Our goal is to provide many new services for our clients, which will give them a competitive advantage on the markets, where they operate.” - said Dean Belev, VP Services of NetIX.
