NetIX adds Singapore Internet Exchange (SGIX) to its Global Internet Exchange service
The new connection strengthens NetIX’s APAC footprint and provides Global Internet Exchange (GIX) members with direct access to additional peering opportunities in Singapore.
Sofia, Bulgaria & Singapore – 1st September 2026: NetIX, the leading global distributed platform for award-winning connectivity and peering solutions, today announced the addition of Singapore Internet Exchange (SGIX) to its award-winning Global Internet Exchange (GIX) service, further expanding its presence across the Asia-Pacific region.
Through this integration, NetIX customers can now access SGIX’s broad ecosystem of networks either via the GIX platform or directly through remote peering, extending connectivity reach in one of the world’s most important digital hubs. The new 100G connection will enable networks to benefit from improved access to regional and international peers while avoiding the complexity and expense of establishing multiple individual connections.
NetIX’s GIX service combines connectivity to more than 50 Internet Exchanges worldwide, allowing members to access a broad global peering ecosystem through a single connection, port, and contract. By adding SGIX to the platform, NetIX continues to simplify global interconnection and help networks optimise traffic routes, improve performance, and scale efficiently.
Singapore remains a key strategic location for international connectivity, acting as a major gateway between Asia-Pacific markets and the rest of the world. The addition of SGIX further enhances NetIX’s ability to support customers looking to expand their presence and improve connectivity across the region.

The SGIX connection is now available to all NetIX GIX members, enabling them to extend their global peering capabilities and access additional connectivity opportunities in Singapore, and complements the addition of the Equinix Singapore Internet Exchange in January earlier this year.
