NetIX upgrades its NIX.CZ connectivity to 100G in Frankfurt
Sofia, Bulgaria – 8th July 2026: NetIX, the leading global distributed platform for connectivity and peering solutions, has upgraded its connectivity to NIX.CZ to 100G and relocated the service from Prague to Frankfurt to meet growing customer demand and provide access to a wider range of networks.
The new 100G connection is delivered via Equinix Frankfurt and represents a significant increase in capacity; this upgrade enables NetIX members to benefit from enhanced connectivity to NIX.CZ - one of Central Europe's leading Internet Exchanges - while improving scalability for future traffic growth.
By establishing the connection in Frankfurt, NetIX can provide Equinix tenants with access to a larger ecosystem of networks and peering opportunities. As an official reseller of NIX.CZ’s peering services, this strategic move strengthens NetIX's European connectivity offering and helps existing customers reach more networks through a single connection.
As demand for low-latency, resilient, and cost-effective interconnection continues to grow, the new 100G connection ensures NetIX can continue delivering high-performance peering services while supporting the increasing traffic requirements of its global member base.
"Upgrading our NIX.CZ connectivity to 100G and relocating the service to Frankfurt is an important step in the continued development of the NetIX platform," said Dean Belev, VP of Connectivity Services at NetIX. "This upgrade gives our members access to more networks, greater scalability, and additional opportunities to optimise their connectivity through a single connection to NetIX."
"We are pleased to see NetIX upgrade its connectivity to NIX.cz with a 100G connection in Frankfurt," said Adam Golecky, CEO at NIX.CZ. "The upgrade demonstrates the continued growth of demand for high-quality peering services and will provide NetIX members with greater opportunities to connect with networks across our community while supporting future traffic growth."
The NetIX platform simplifies network expansion through a single connection, providing access to thousands of networks, multiple Internet Exchanges, and a global ecosystem of connectivity services. Through one port, members can connect to peers and services across Europe and beyond without the need for additional infrastructure investments.
