NetIX Surpasses 8 Tbps of Peak Traffic, Ranking Eighth Among the World’s Largest Internet Exchanges
Global connectivity platform adds more than 1 terabit in five months, expands the GIX to 60+ IXPs, and wins Best Internet Exchange at the Global Connectivity Awards.
Sofia, Bulgaria - 28 October 2026: NetIX, the leading global distributed platform for award-winning connectivity and peering solutions, has surpassed 8 Tbps of peak traffic, just five months after reaching 7 Tbps in May 2026. The milestone now places NetIX as the eighth largest Internet Exchange in the world by maximum throughput traffic, reflecting continued growth in demand for global connectivity.

The latest traffic milestone follows further industry recognition: NetIX won Best Internet Exchange at Capacity Media’s Global Connectivity Awards 2026, marking its second consecutive year receiving the award - third year in total.
